Fashion Epiphany?

What exactly is a fashion epiphany you ask?
Well, to me, it's a weeks worth of dreams of me wearing certain clothes.
{Oh, and in one of the dreams, I was best friends with Lauren Conrad.}
Call me crazy, but I did finally realize what I felt comfortable in.

A Look Back
After I graduated high school, I was into the "beach/hippy" look, which consisted of showing off my stomach, not wearing a bra, wearing flowy clothing and shorts that are far too short. Living in Southern California, that was the norm.
But I realized that my self expression wasn't getting positive attention.
Instead of being looked at for my creative clothes, I was getting looked at because of my "goods".
Which I hate because I think that a girl/woman should be free to express herself without being eyeballed from head to toe, but that's something I will not get started on.

Then it hit me, I can still express myself with what I wear, but I don't have to have my newest belly button piercing showing all the time.  I didn't want to have a hard time picking out what to wear to school or a family dinner because all of my appropriate clothes were dirty. Thanks to those dreams, I have gone through my closet and picked out clothes to sell that just don't fit my mindset anymore.
{is that called growing up? yikes}

If Parker reads this, he will be laughing and clapping with joy because all of these brands I called "old lady clothing" I am now in love with.  I was being too stubborn to realize a confident and slightly conservative girl is the best looking out there
{at least for me}

Phew. Now that My thoughts are out there, I can move on to what I am planning on purchasing as soon as I get back to work!
J. CREW
shorts-I'm mostly legs, so these are the perfect length.
shirt-Obsessed with stripes. End of story.
flats-I really like this color. They would spruce up a simple outfit.
bag-Yellow makes me happy. Plus this bag is the perfect size.
bracelet-Will make you feel feisty.
necklace-Ahoy! Gold is flattering on almost every skin tone.
belt-Love the brown and pink!
blouse-Polka dots are classic in my book.

jeans-Selvage denim for women. That fits. WHAAAT?!
shirt- simple red that looks good any time of the year.
chambray- flattering cut.
pants- great neutral color that you can pair up with other neutrals or add pops of color.
